Leadership in migration, childhood, youth, and community projects
I’d love to tell you a little about myself. My name is Mayuri Mendoza, and I’m a woman deeply passionate about understanding human behavior, social bonds, and migration. I was born in Caracas, Venezuela. I’m a mother of three and an art lover in all its forms. Traveling, learning, and connecting with others are essential parts of who I am. I’m deeply proud of the path that has brought me here.
I studied Sociology and Education at the Central University of Venezuela and earned a Master’s degree in Political and Diplomatic Sciences from the University of Salerno, Italy. Over the course of more than 22 years of professional experience, I’ve never stopped learning. I’ve completed certifications in social responsibility, positive parenting, emotional education, trauma, family-centered psychology, and, more recently, artificial intelligence tools for designing social programs.
I love learning something new every day—through micro-courses, books, podcasts, data analysis, and by observing life with curious and committed eyes.

For 18 years, I ran my own consulting business in Venezuela, where I focused on developing social programs, public opinion research, and community projects, as well as designing crime prevention strategies. I collaborated with public institutions, private organizations, and multilateral agencies, driven by the belief that social programs must be updated to meet today’s challenges.

"Aunque mis abuelos tenían raíces en cuatro países, nunca pensé que la migración también sería parte de mi historia. La vida me trajo a Estados Unidos, donde estoy sembrando nuevas raíces, sin olvidar jamás de dónde vengo".
When I migrated to the United States with my husband and our three children, I experienced both the visible and invisible challenges that many migrant families face: learning a new language, adapting to a different system, reinventing myself to learn new skills, and being an emotional support for my family while going through my own process.
It was a challenging journey—but we walked it together, with love and resilience.
This personal chapter further deepened my perspective on the urgent need to update social programs to truly address the challenges faced by migrant communities and other vulnerable populations.
It was as a volunteer at a nonprofit that the opportunity to return to my calling arose. I didn’t hesitate to take it.

That experience reconnected me with my life’s purpose: to empower families, individuals, nonprofits, and communities—especially those of Latin American origin—to discover the best version of themselves and pursue their dreams, even in the face of adversity.
Over the years, I’ve developed my own approach that combines empathy, prevention strategies, emotional education, and tools like artificial intelligence to help social programs, family routines, and community processes become more effective, human-centered, and sustainable

"You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backward. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something—your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever."

Today, I bring this vision to life through my personal brand and the ConEmpatIA initiative— a digital platform designed to offer interactive, accessible educational resources that support parents, professionals, and organizations in their journey of transformation, learning, and prevention.
